The NBA MVP List
Here is a look at the NBA MVP list to date. Among those who have received the award, Jerry West was the first recipient, followed by Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan. Jordan won the award six times, including as a rookie and twice as a champion. Shaquille O’Neal is the only player to win the award three times in a row. Other notable winners include Tony Parker, the first player from outside of the United States, and LeBron James, the only player to win the award three times, with different teams. Currently, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the first Greek player to win the award.
Nikola Jokic: This young center has elite playmaking ability. The NBA MVP list could not be complete without him. He is capable of leading the fast break and controlling the offense in the half-court. His first MVP award came in 2021, but his declining play has caused questions about his long-term viability. However, he has been a star for the Bucks, who have had some tough times without him. That is why it will be interesting to see who wins the award this year.
The NBA also awards the MVP to the player with the best record in a division or conference. Those players who have won the MVP award the most often were also on a winning team. Six players were named to the first team in 1952, and none of them missed a single game. However, the All-NBA first team consisted of six players, and Dolph Schayes and Bob Davies both received similar votes. This year, however, there were no unanimous winners.
