Sample of the Knicks Roster 2022

The New York Knickerbockers, also known as the New York Knicks, are an American professional basketball team based in Manhattan, New York. They are a member of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. They are the most-talked-about team in the NBA, and are a perennial contender for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. However, their roster is far from complete. To help you decide who you want to see on your team, here is a sample of the 2022 Knicks roster.

Frank Ntilikina

When it comes to the New York Knicks, the only name that sticks out as a potential future star is Frank Ntilikina. The 6-foot-4 guard/wing was selected eighth overall in the 2017 NBA Draft, one pick before Dennis Smith Jr. Although he has struggled to find a consistent role with the Knicks, Ntilikina’s defensive skills were well-liked. Despite his lack of offensive skills, Ntilikina has consistently shown his value in the post, particularly in the NBA playoffs.

Derrick Rose

Should you put Derrick Rose on the New York Knicks roster in 2022? The Knicks will likely look for someone to replace Derrick Rose, as he is one of the league’s top scorers. The Knicks’ roster needs a point guard to guard the perimeter, and Rose’s return would help them. However, Rose’s injury history is a concern for Knicks fans. It’s likely that the front office would like to trade Rose for another player to help them win now.

Nerlens Noel

Despite signing a three-year, $27 million contract with the Knicks last summer, Nerlens Noel has only played in about half the Knicks’ games this season. However, he finished among the league’s top three in defensive rating and blocks. As such, Noel was seen as a good insurance policy for the team in case Mitchell Robinson suffered injuries.

Taj Gibson

If you have not heard, Taj Gibson is a free agent after the 2021 season. In 159 games with the Knicks, he averaged 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds. He played in five postseason games with the Knicks and averaged 5 points and 3.8 rebounds in those games. His chemistry with RJ Barrett was impressive and has attracted the interest of many teams.

Miles McBride

Despite his high draft position, McBride is a long way from the starting lineup. The Knicks have never signed the versatile guard in the past, and he hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since testing positive for COVID-19 the day after the Houston game. In addition, his minutes have mostly come from the G-League. It seems like he will be an outsider in the Knicks’ organization for quite some time.

Mitchell Robinson

The Knicks are not sure where they will find Mitchell Robinson next season. There are a number of reasons for this, including the fact that the center has the highest rebounding average in the NBA. There’s also a good chance Robinson will be a free agent at this point. The Knicks have an option to give Robinson a four-year, $55.6 million extension, but Robinson is unwilling to sign such an offer.
